38 Sierra delivers specialized Drone Incident Response Training (DIRT) programs focused on grounded drone response, drone threat recognition, and operational preparedness for evolving unmanned aircraft system (UAS) hazards. We support military, public safety, corrections, federal law enforcement, critical infrastructure, and security organizations with operationally focused training designed to prepare personnel for encounters with grounded drones, suspicious payloads, and emerging drone-delivered threats. Drone incidents are no longer limited to airspace safety and security. Small unmanned aircraft systems are increasingly being used to deliver contraband, improvised explosive devices, modified conventional ordnance, and hazardous materials into locations once considered difficult to target using conventional methods. Most organizations remain underprepared to safely identify, assess, and respond to these evolving hazards. 38 Sierra was established to close that gap. Our team includes Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) professionals, federal law enforcement personnel, and subject matter experts with experience developing grounded drone response procedures and doctrine. Our work includes contributions to the initial development of U.S. Military EOD grounded drone response tactics, techniques, and procedures.
