2-REG Information

The Guernsey Aircraft Registry ("2-REG") is the regulatory body of the States of Guernsey, responsible for regulating the registration, airworthiness and flight operations of Guernsey registered aircraft and for upholding the safety standards of ICAO and the Chicago Convention. As assigned by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (“ICAO”), 2-REG allocates Guernsey nationality and registration marks (the "2-" prefix), including personalised selections on request. Our regulatory oversight is structured around two principal areas: Lease Transitions: Providing regulatory oversight for aircraft moving at the end of lease between airlines and lessors. Timing is of the essence for an owner to move the aircraft as swiftly as possible and our specialised team is tailored to deliver precisely that for our stakeholders, which include aircraft leasing companies, financial institutions, airlines and CAMOs. Business Aviation: Depending on the scope and requirements of the operator, 2-REG can issue a Private Operator Certificate (POC) for private operations or an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) for the operator to carry commercial transport. Our flight operations team works closely with the operator through certification and provides ongoing oversight to ensure operations remain safe and compliant. With offices in Guernsey, Singapore and Amsterdam, we provide oversight and stakeholder support across time zones, ensuring the 2-REG team is available in working hours wherever required.
