1SCOPE Information

1Scope is a social enterprise devoted to developing students across Australia. It is a virtual hub that connects students (aged 12-25) with all opportunities available and allows them to categorically research, apply for, and evaluate opportunities in one setting. 1Scope will be the central platform for all Australian students to seek character and capability based workshops, networking events and conferences and work experience in large corporates, not-for-profits, startups and local businesses. Our focus is two-fold: 1. To create or market quality opportunities that will develop key, in-demand capabilities in students 2. Equal access to opportunities for all students across Australia Our goal is to make students future ready and to reduce the friction in making important career decisions e.g.., university, work placement etc. Based on our extensive polling and surveys with students, universities, corporate employers and startups, students are currently searching for opportunities in a highly ad hoc manner. Student uptake for programs is not as extensive and courses as well as training programs are being disregarded because of the market’s fragmented nature: students just aren’t aware of all the offerings that are available. This represents a terrible return for organisations who have invested large amounts of money and time into their programs. 1Scope will be the one stop opportunity shop for all students. We're currently working with 25 pioneer schools and 30 organisations, and moving forward, organisations will be able to use 1Scope to tap into the entire student population. In addition, 1Scope’s data analytics will allow you to identify further opportunities, areas of improvement in social impact investing, and add transparency to your social and educational objectives, resulting in a greater return to you.
