Retirees have to regularly assess: * How much should they spend? * How should they invest their assets? * Whether to buy an annuity? * Should they release equity from their primary residence? These problems are difficult to answer as retirees are exposed to longevity risk (the risk of outliving their savings) along with investment market risk. We’re passionate about helping retirees, financial advisers and pension funds better understand the impact of how key financial decisions impact a retiree’s goals. We explore differing investment and consumption strategies that a retiree could adopt, and try to find the strategy that best meets the retiree’s needs given their preferences and risk tolerance. Our aim is to find the optimal financial outcome for every retiree.
