What do I do? I'm Pietro, an independent headhunter. I scout high-potential companies, define an open role with them, and use a system I built to find the best candidates in just a few days. How my approach differs from most headhunters? Over the years, I’ve engineered a hiring method optimized for speed and accuracy. Within ~4 days, I break down the role through a proprietary framework that maps technical requirements, domain context, and market signals. After years in tech, I’ve come to believe technology is no longer just a tool - it has evolved into a self-perpetuating paradigm that often reduces both humans and nature to its own logic. In 2018, I joined Upvest as its fifth employee and helped scale it to about 100 people as Recruiting Lead. From 2022 to 2024, I worked as a headhunter for top VC-backed software startups worldwide, including Raycast (named one of Europe’s best engineering teams), Causal and Navee (both acquired), and several YC-backed companies.
