White Ship's mission is to harness the power of art to create a world of human flourishing. We create experiences for people from all walks of life to discover the dynamic wonder of art, nurture their unique creative gifts and experience the power of diversity. One of the core pillars of our work is the EGAKU Program - an art program which emerged from artist Kunihiko Yazawa’s enquiry into the question, “Why do we paint pictures?” Initially started for children in 2002, we launched EGAKU for business professionals in 2004. To date we have had over 20,000 program participants from children to CEOs, and more than 200 companies including major Japanese companies and multinationals have deployed the program. EGAKU has been deployed in companies and educational institutions to foster 21st century skills such as self-awareness, embracing diversity and creativity.
