The Washington State Public Stadium Authority Board (PSA) condemns the murders in Atlanta and the violence and hate crimes directed at Asian Americans in general. Hate has no place in our society, and the tragedy in Atlanta again reminds us that we must redouble our efforts to eliminate the scourge of racism in our society. The PSA is saddened and alarmed at the horrific acts of violence perpetrated in Atlanta last week. This sort of tragic, senseless mass violence directed against the Asian Pacific Islander community is sickening. Our hearts go out to all of the victims and their families. Despite a persistent history of discrimination and unequal treatment, the Asian-Pacific Islander community has a long and rich history in our society, and the PSA stands united with the API community as it continues to fight for social justice and equality for Asian Americans.
