Walnut Commons Information

Walnut Commons is an inter-generational co-housing community of artists, professionals and retirees, to be located in downtown Santa Cruz, California. From our location at the corner of Walnut and Center Streets, we can walk to the Civic Center, the library, shops, art galleries, restaurants, the farmers market, and Main Beach. Walnut Commons will consist of twenty condominium units in a three-story LEED-certified building with underground parking and storage. In addition to our privately-owned space, we will share a roof garden, community space on the ground floor, and other shared amenities. We are creating an intentional neighborhood under one roof. Residents commit to build and sustain community through formal and informal gatherings and planned community dinners. Co-housing will provide us with a balance between independence and an embracing and supportive community of good neighbors.
