Several weeks often pass between the decision to operate and the surgery itself. For many patients, this is mainly a period of waiting — with open questions and little guidance. Yet it is precisely this window that helps determine the condition in which someone goes into surgery. Motus Health is building a digital prehabilitation platform that turns this waiting time into active preparation time. An app guides patients through the weeks before their procedure in a structured way — with content on physical activity, nutrition, mental preparation and education. The approach is designed to work across indications: prehabilitation is relevant for many surgical procedures. The platform is therefore built to adapt to different care pathways — not the other way around. Motus supports the clinical team; it does not replace it. While patients are guided at home, the clinic keeps an overview through a dashboard. The platform can be used without deep IT integration, and clinical decision-making authority remains entirely with the treating team. The content is based on established principles of prehabilitation and is developed together with physicians. All data is hosted on C5-certified infrastructure in Germany.
