Sunbird® is a Digital Public Good which helps children learn, safeguards health and simplifies the daily lives of over a billion people. Its building blocks are designed for scale and open sourced under MIT license. These building blocks have been used in the creation of Co-WIN, DIKSHA, Suvaas/Amar Vasha, Bhashini and many more applications. And these are only a few of the at-scale examples! So what makes Sunbird building blocks special? They allow practitioners to design complex solutions that are context-rich, without having to build over-engineered solutions from scratch. They are open, modular, extendable and configurable. By recombining building blocks, designing for scale becomes possible.
