Science Systems and Applications, Inc. (SSAI) is an SBA-certified Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) that was founded in 1977. For nearly 50 years, we have supported over 175 contracts for federal agencies, leading universities, and cutting-edge science institutes. Our headquarters is in Maryland near NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and we have regional locations around the country. SSAI has a long history of contributions to NASA, NOAA, and USGS, and EPA having played an important role in more than 160 Space and Earth observing missions. SSAI activities span across Earth sciences, geophysics, planetary sciences, and heliophysics. Among the current notable projects: • Prominent support to Landsat, ranging from calibration to science projects focused on the detection of harmful algae blooms in coastal or internal waters. • Pivotal role in support of the Plankton, Aerosol, Cloud ocean Ecosystem (PACE) mission. Also contributing to space weather research and the assessment of radiation impact on aviation. SSAI has also invested its own Internal Research and Development funds in support to Artemis and Moon to Mars strategic goals. • Contributing to the development of an instrument to determine the Lunar water cycle. • Design of an Observing System Simulation Experiment (OSSE) Framework for Mars, a pre-requisite to establish the adequate instrument network which will allow a real-time weather forecast capability on the planet.
