Established by Cheryl Byron in 1981, Something Positive, Inc. is a 501c3 not-for-profit, performing arts and education organization dedicated to preserving the art and culture of the African Diaspora and its cross-cultural influences. The ensemble of dancers, singers and musicians have performed an original repertoire at venues including the African Burial Ground National Monument, American Museum of Natural History, and Lincoln Center.
