1 in 10 adults suffer from the debilitating condition that is chronic insomnia. Chronic insomnia is more than just a lack of sleep. It is a clinical condition that sees its sufferers experiencing severe loneliness and societal isolation. Insomnia is a largely dismissed condition; bad habits and too much phone time often taking the blame. In reality, chronic insomnia is a clinical condition that overrides an individuals ability to sleep normally. Today, the only scientifically proven treatment that can fix insomnia for the long term is cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia or CBT-i. Finding the right CBT-i program is often paralysing in itself. Online courses offer little to no personalisation or support, just a one size fits all band aid while face to face therapy with an experienced sleep physiologist is hard to find and expensive. The Sleepyhead Program offers CBT-i as a multi component or hybrid program. Individuals have access to the science as well as support, an integral key to individual success. The treatment takes anywhere from 6 to 20 weeks; comprised of recorded video sessions accessed on the SHP platform and weekly live Q&A clinics with a sleep expert. The therapy journey is personalised according the individuals profile and progress; while member support remains consistently available along the way. We know insomnia is lonely. At the Sleepyhead Program we believe the treatment for insomnia doesn’t have to be.
