We are a small company devoted exclusively to providing gill nets to fishery professionals throughout North America. We are dedicated to making gill nets of the highest quality available at affordable prices, and our customers include the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, Idaho Department of Fish and Game, National Park Service, U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Geological Survey, and others. As fishery professionals ourselves, we also use these nets in the course of our own research. Sierra Nets is the exclusive North American distributor of nets manufactured by Lindeman, a Finnish company that has been producing nets for more than 100 years. Lindeman has long been an innovator in gill net design and construction, and takes pride in the quality of their materials and end products. In addition, Lindeman seeks to minimize the environmental impacts of their net components. For example, they recently patented a weighted line that uses steel weights instead of the lead weights used in most nets. These steel weighted lines are used in all of the gill nets that we sell.
