We’re Shrinkwrap Machinery Co Ltd. We’re a family business that was founded in 1967. We’re family-owned and run to this day; brothers Peter and Jeremy Frith head up the business, each bringing their own specialities and expertise. British engineering So, what is it that we do? You could say ‘we do what it says on the tin’ but if you dig a little deeper, there’s much more to it than that. Yes, we design and manufacture shrink-wrapping machines here in the UK. These are high-quality, tailor-made, machine workhorses. You see, we’re British engineers, we don’t mess around. We believe wholeheartedly in building technically advanced, robust, and reliable packaging equipment. Equipment that is transformational and by that, we mean equipment that will deliver operational improvements and enhance your productivity. This is going to be expensive right? Well, we’re not the cheapest we know that, but as they say, you get what you pay for and building in the UK doesn’t come cheap. We understand that not everybody has the available funding for such transformation in their packing area, and so we also supply and support another couple of machine ranges that are just perfect for smaller businesses and start-ups. The value we offer is not only in the nuts and bolts of the machinery and equipment but also in the support and service that we provide and the long-term relationships that we foster. We do what we do because we’re problem solvers. We like nothing more than a conundrum posed by a customer. How can we do this? Where can I squeeze more production from? How can I fit this in here? It’s not often (if at all) that we’re unable to find a way. At heart, we’ve got a strong R&D identity. That’s a thread that has run through the business since day one. So that means we don’t stand still. We’re always open to ideas for improvements and we re-invest in the business, striving to be better. You can see we’re in it for the long term can’t you, we’ve been this way since 1967!
