Shape Change Technologies is pioneering the use of Nitinol metal foams for actuators, shock mitigation materials and as connectors for hard to bond Nitinol wires, tube and sheet material. Our proprietary process allows for net-shape metal foam components to be manufactured that have high fidelity to the mold geometry, The open-celled nature of the foam, as well as having mechanical properties similar to Aluminum while being effectively inert in most environments, makes it an attractive candidate for filter media and heat exchange media under subjected to high loads.
