(SHDS) is a joint venture between Hindustan Aeronautics Limited and Samtel Avionics, established to design and manufacture advanced cockpit display systems for HAL’s fixed wing and rotary aircraft platforms. The JV is India’s first public-private partnership in defence avionics to indigenously design, qualify and serially produce multifunction cockpit displays, flying on platforms such as the Sukhoi Su-30MKI. The venture plays a critical role in strengthening India’s indigenous aerospace capabilities.
