Rojava Information Center Information

The center was founded in 2018 to fill a gap of accurate, independent and well sourced information about the geopolitically crucial region of Northeast Syria (Rojava) in the English language. From the ground, the RIC puts reliable and timely information into the hands of journalists, researchers and decision makers around the world who cover the region. Since it's founding, it has provided trusted information to media organizations such as Fox, BBC, the Guardian, Aljazeera, as well as other organizations such as Human Rights Watch and the US State Department, during politically and militarily tense situations. The center also produces regular and proactive reports on the security situation in the region, as well as updates to the governance system in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES). The AANES has been operating independently of the Syrian Government since 2011, but is not well understood outside of its borders.
