ResearcherBud Information

ResearchBud is a non-profit project ideated to provide support, guidance, and tools to improve the well-being, career development and productivity of early career scientists. PhD students and PostDocs (the researcher buds) often face challenges that are not only related to research, but also mental health, anxiety and stress. The academic life is demanding and there is no instructions manual that can effectively help to navigate those turbulent and competitive waters. The reality is that many Early Career Researchers do quit academia after all and many of them regret not doing it earlier. Other researchers struggle to obtain funding and follow their scientific roadmap successfully. Other researchers suffer from non-resolved issues, continuous relocations, working extra time, and from "bringing stuff at home".
