PrimeGuard Medical™ has a patented new platform of securement devices, to reduce transmission risk of infectious diseases, improve safety to caregivers and save costs. The initial family of products, our Guard360™ line, is designed to create 360 degrees of stabilization for peripheral IV’s and Foley catheters. Our Guard360™ devices are for use in hospitals, long–term care markets, as well as for patients at home. PrimeGuard Medical™ is dedicated to developing solutions to enhance safety, reduce transmission of infections, repurpose caregiver’s time and reduce overall hospital costs. The Guard360™ products were designed to address the increasing occurrence of Hospital Acquired Infections (CAUTI’s-catheter-associated urinary tract infections and blood/fluid borne pathogens such as Ebola, HIV, TB, Lussas Fever, hep B/C, etc.). Medical infections and subsequent patient complications, as a result of catheters being secured primarily by regular tape, continue to be a significant cost for both patients and hospitals. Unsecured and leaking catheters expose caregivers to a patient’s bodily fluids and potential transmission risk of infectious diseases. Our next–generation, Guard360™ securement devices were featured in Modern Healthcare as products to help hospitals address the infectious diseases crisis of Ebola. PrimeGuard Medical™ will continue to develop additional products using this innovative technology for vein access, respiratory therapy, dialysis, wound care and patient transport are planned for the future.
