In the great tradition of Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jeff Beck, DeCoste combines virtuoso skills with rock and roll attitude to create his own unique sound. He’s got the chops to play in the orchestra pit for the Grammy-winning musical HAIRSPRAY, and the swagger to play his own original interpretation of the Star Spangled Banner at Shea Stadium for over 50,000 people. His 2 independent full-length releases have garnered internal acclaim, landed him opening slots for Billboard artists around New England and even scored him an Artist of the Year nomination. Aside from playing some of the region’s most storied venues, DeCoste also works full time in one of the world’s leading research institutions at a top university in Boston.
