Mills is a local, family-owned, and operated supplier of stationery, technology products, furniture, printing services, janitorial products and education products. Mills’ experience in the office supply industry dates back to 1949. Since then, Mills has grown to include a large distribution fleet, multiple warehouse locations, print shop and membership in the largest 100% Canadian Owned buying group, Basics. Mills operates solely within the province of BC with locations in Prince George, Kelowna, Vancouver, Smithers, Terrace, Fort St. John, Kamloops, and Trail which creates local jobs and local spending. Mills believes in supporting the local economy and sees the importance of having local operations to service our customers better. Mills is a leader in social and environmental responsibility and is often the first office supply company to take the steps necessary to reduce its impact on the environment while helping our community. Mills is committed to reducing its carbon and is a member of various networking groups to promote sustainability, such as Climate Smart, Loco BC, Bullfrog Power and Eco Options. Ethics and transparency are two very important pillars to Mills value set which is why Mills became a Certified B Corporation in 2012. Certified B Corporations are a new type of corporation which uses the power of business to solve social and environmental problems. To become a B Corporation, companies have to go through an extensive 3rd Party Verified assessment that looks at governance, the environment, community and how a company treats its employees, including health and safety procedures. Part of the process to make sure its members are acting ethically is a random company audit every three (3) years to ensure compliance. By becoming a member of the B Corp Community, Mills wants to show our customers our commitment to the environment, our workers and the local community that Mills operates in.
