We use a proprietary algorithm to cluster content on systemically important topics (e.g., Brexit, negative interest rates). Our human curators work to highlight the most insightful reading material on the MacroDigest website and Twitter. MacroDigest's Beginning The idea for MacroDigest came to Garrick while he was a PhD student trying (and failing) to stay on top of the deluge of economic news and debate with a RSS reader, Twitter, etc. After bootstrapping a prototype, MacroDigest won the London School of Economics Entrepreneur of the Year Award and received some project funding from LSE Learning Technology and Innovation and the Centre for Macroeconomics. MacroDigest Today MacroDigest has received praise from some of the most influential economists, but it is still very much a project-in-progress.
