LeaderDogs Classic - a charity golf event to support LeaderDogs for the Blind In 1986, Joe Nessinger founded an event where visually impaired persons could participate in a day of competition and camaraderie on one of Arizona’s many golf courses. At the same time, mixing sighted and blind athletes would remind us of the inestimable gift of sight. Today, inspired by his widow Merry Nessinger, a committee of dedicated volunteers is thrilled to continue this event into its 30th year as we raise money for Leader Dogs for the Blind. Leader Dogs for the Blind empowers people who are blind, visually impaired or Deaf-Blind with skills for a lifetime of independent travel, opening doors that may seem to have closed with the loss of sight. http://www.leaderdogsclassic.org/ http://www.leaderdog.org/
