Parenting is hard. Parenting a child with a brain or body difference is harder. Keikens is here to lessen the load. Keikens is an online platform for parents raising neurodivergent or disabled children. These parents are handed evaluations, IEPs, therapy reports and school notes, each from a different part of their child's life, and expected to figure out what comes next. Everything a parent already knows about their child should make every next answer better. Parents add what they have, and Keikens helps them: - Understand what the reports mean for their child - Ask questions in the moment, with their child's context already there - Find camps, programs, tutors and providers that fit their child, with the reasons shown Experiences shape who a child becomes. A diagnosis can explain. It should never define. The right camp, program or coach can help a child find out who they are. The name comes from keiken, the Japanese word for experience. Our founder, Katie Jacobs, studied, taught and worked in Japan, and those experiences shaped who she became. Now a mom raising a child with brain differences, she built Keikens to help parents find the experiences that fit their own children. For her son, ten documents, from two neuropsychological evaluations to his soccer coach's notes, led Keikens to suggest Civil Air Patrol, a program under 10 miles from home. Parents stay in charge. They decide what goes in and who sees it. Keikens never sells their data or uses it to train AI, and it works alongside a child's care team, not in place of it.
