Strategic HR Makes All the Difference Helping Urban School Districts to Become Great Managers of Teacher and Principal Talent USHCA works directly with human capital leaders in urban school districts and State Education Agencies to measurably improve teacher and principal quality. We transform a district’s HR management function into a strategic human capital and talent team focused on educator quality and the improvement of student outcomes. USHCA offers 5 primary services: 1. The Academy: a semi-annual cross-district experiential learning opportunity for district teams 2. The State Alliance: teams of state-level HR leaders working together to improve policy-making and partnerships with districts and teacher preparation providers 3. Emerging Leaders: a cohort of mid-career HR leaders preparing for more senior roles (in partnership with Education Pioneers and the Broad Center) 4. HrInEd.org: a free on-line resource of tools and assessments for HR teams and leaders 5. Customized assessment, planning, and consulting services
