Hydroflex manufactures precision metallic bellows components and assemblies for diverse industrial applications and market sectors. Their versatility as engineering devices means that they are found both in every-day products such as thermostatic valves, and high technology products such as medical scanners. Metallic bellows are produced using various technologies, depending on the application, to produce single or multi-ply units with a number of convolutions – the term used for the shape of the bellows form. Most precision bellows are manufactured by the hydroforming process, where a thin-walled plain tube is internally pressurised and simultaneously collapsed along its axis to form convolutions in the tube. Hydroflex manufactures all products to demanding customer-driven quality standards, and operates a registered Quality System to ISO 9001, externally audited by the British Standards Institution (BSI).
