We connect Detroit with global leaders: introducing influential international professionals and changemakers to their Detroit counterparts and forging lasting relationships. These interactions and resulting partnerships become powerful tools to address and solve some of our biggest challenges. Global Ties Detroit also promotes Detroit and the Metro region as a center of world commerce and culture. We connect internationally minded Detroiters with each other and with global leaders through events, programs, and exchanges. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Previously known as the International Visitors Council of Metropolitan Detroit (IVC Detroit), Global Ties Detroit is a nonprofit organization that administers international exchange programs on behalf of the U.S. Department of State, United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and other organizations who have an interest in promoting international relations.
