Fourth Sector Solutions Information

Fourth Sector Solutions (FSS) is a consulting agency offering enterprising solutions to create a better world. FSS is the brainchild of Amy Orange, former Founder of social enterprise Harvest Fair, who recognises the power of business as a key driver of social and environmental change and is committed to building the capacity of all sectors to operate in alignment with people, planet and profit. The fourth sector is an emerging sector for entities which combine principles and practices from each of the three existing sectors - public, private and non-profit - to establish a local economy which is sustainable, profitable, and which inclusively supports the social and environmental health of our community. There is a need to connect those who want to operate in accordance with the fourth sector to the resources and networks that they need to flourish in an emerging market, and FSS will offer affordable tailored client solutions designed to achieve this goal. We want to help not-for-profits to become more efficient and self-sustainable, businesses and corporations to become more socially and environmentally responsible in their daily operations and throughout their supply chains, and to educate and advise the public sector on best practice for sustainability and social procurement, all while creating procurement opportunities, networks and exposure for social entrepreneurs who are working hard to create solutions to complex social problems.
