Excel Imaging Information

Until Excel Imaging was established in May of 2001, Dr. Greg Cizek was the only neuro-radiologist in St. Louis's South County. After working six years at Barnes Hospital and five years at St. Anthony's Hospital, Dr. Cizek founded Excel Imaging and quickly built a well-known referral base in conjunction with the physicians group known as Esse Health. In its initial stages, Excel Imaging began offering diagnostic x-ray, ultrasound, bone density and pain management services. Five experienced radiologists, along with a highly skilled and caring staff, comprised the Excel Imaging team. In April of 2002, Excel relocated from South County to the Crestwood location. They added MRI (1.5 T), CT (4 slice), and Mammography to their existing services. Currently, Excel Imaging consists of six full-time and three part-time board-certified radiologists and sixteen registered technologists. As members of Esse Health, Excel Imaging is completely integrated with Esse Health's medical record and billing systems. Excel's mission is to offer the foremost in current radiology and neuro-radiology services in an environment that meets the needs of both patients and physicians.
