Core guiding beliefs that have influenced design choices at E6X: 1) Embrace Open Architectures and Open file formats (i.e. no vendor lock-in), 2) Performance on ANY infrastructure (any cloud provider / any deployment scenario), 3) No data migration/replication / ETL into closed data warehouses (i.e. simplified architectures and lower cost compute), 4) Fully transparent to end-users - viz. no changes to existing data pipelines, existing SQL queries, existing BI tools/notebooks, existing governance frameworks, etc. 5) No other unfair cheat codes (i.e. no caching, no materialization, etc.), 6) Deploy fully WITHIN customer data boundaries (e.g. cloud accounts, or on-premise) 7) Try before you buy, and Pay only for what you use We believe our radically different approach will result in 40 - 100X faster speeds at 70 - 80% lower costs than both industry-leading closed platforms (like Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, Google BigQuery), as well as open architecture platforms like (Databricks / Spark, Presto, Impala, etc.).
