Founded in 2013 and opened in 2015, Durham Distillery is rewriting the story of American gin from Durham, North Carolina. Best known for Conniption Gin, one of the most awarded craft gin portfolios in the U.S., Durham Distillery helped pioneer the modern American gin renaissance by blending time-honored methods with cold vacuum distillation. The brand has earned more than 60 national and international awards, including multiple Best in the U.S. titles from the World Gin Awards. Most recently, Conniption Kinship advanced as a 2026 World Gin Awards global finalist for Best Colour-Changing Gin, following its recognition as one of Wine Enthusiast’s Top 100 Spirits of 2025. These honors reflect Kinship’s role in pushing the boundaries of gin: botanical, vibrant, color-changing, and modern. Conniption Navy Strength continues to define the brand on the world stage. In 2025, it extended its streak with a seventh consecutive Best Navy Strength Gin in the U.S. title from the World Gin Awards and was recognized among the world’s best gins by Forbes and the Beverage Testing Institute.
