Cranbourne Greyhound Racing Club Information

Founded in 1974, the Cranbourne Greyhound Racing Club is based at the Cranbourne Racing Centre, the only venue in Victoria that hosts all three codes of racing – thoroughbred, harness and greyhound – celebrated in an annual TRI Codes Night when all three codes race alongside each other. Following a $3.2 million upgrade in 2014, the club’s grandstand has room for over 900 people over two floors with great track views and hosts a range of social functions and business events. The Club hosts around 60 meetings annually, including the Cranbourne Classic and the Cranbourne Cup in February. The Cranbourne Greyhound Racing Club is committed to managing its operations with the community in mind. It sponsors local football and netball competitions and organises and hosts events to support good causes and give local groups and residents opportunities to meet, raise funds and enjoy themselves. The club directly employs 16 permanent and casual staff while greyhound racing also generates many more indirect local jobs and contributes around $40 million to the Gippsland region. providing hundreds of local jobs and a market for local goods and services.
