59DaysOfCode is a 501(c)3 nonprofit located in Fresno, CA with the mission to grow the technology industry and community in the San Joaquin Valley. Through events, workshops, and programs, we work to integrate arts, culture, and technology, work with students to develop entrepreneurial and technical skills for technology jobs, and create the Valley’s most vibrant entrepreneurial platform. We have worked with at least 500 students, created over 25 businesses, and discovered more than 500 developers since our inception in 2010. 59DaysOfCode’s signature event is #thecompetition. It is the largest tech competition in the Central Valley, involving hundreds of professional developers and thousands of attendees. #thecompetition offers developers the opportunity to work on their own projects in our Classic Track or develop new technologies that address an issue affecting the San Joaquin Valley in our Ignite Track. #thecompetition runs June - August, ending in a final Expo where the entries are judged, juried, and declared winners. During #thecompetition, we host a few other education events, speaker series, and workshops for competitors and the public.
