The Association of Asian-American Women (AAAW) was founded in 1989 by a small group of Filipino women, as the Philippine Women Society. Over time, the organization evolved into a much larger gathering and grew into AAAW. Today we have over 20 members from different countries like Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. In 2011, the AAAW received a non-profit 501(c)(3) designation. Membership is open to all who support the mission of AAAW.
