The Ramon Foundation Information

The Ramon Foundation is one of Israel's leading NGO. The foundation promotes themes of space and aviation aiming to encourage personal excellence and community involvement, support groundbreaking excellence in academic achievement among Israeli youth, nurture social innovations, and promote leadership in the spirit of Ilan Ramon- Israel's first Astronaut, and his son Asaf Ramon- who just like his dad, fulfilled his dream of becoming a fighter pilot and graduated from the flying academy with honors. The Ramon Foundation was founded in 2010 by Rona Ramon in memory of Ilan & Asaf, guided by the belief that every child should fulfill his dream and unique potential. In our education activity, we wish to inspire, guide and encourage young individuals to dream and explore, enabling them to turn these dreams into reality, and become part of a unique community that guides and supports them along the process. In our non-education activities, Our mission is to support the growth of the Israeli space sector and enhance the implementation of innovation in our field, while simultaneously, positioning Israel as a global innovation center for new space and space applications. The Ramon Community consists of scientists, IAF pilots, space engineers, young leaders, and leading social entrepreneurs, all determined to turn these goals into an achievable reality. The foundation currently supports and operates numerous education projects in Israel and in the USA.
