Trust infrastructure is emerging as a foundational requirement for AI systems acting on behalf of humans and institutions. As autonomy increases, questions of identity, accountability, and verification across system boundaries move from technical concerns to governance concerns and increasingly, to questions of sovereignty and public interest. Our work at TEKS focuses on the architecture of this layer: what verification means when models are stateless and swappable, how accountability is preserved across human-AI handoffs, and what the European regulatory context implies for the underlying design.
