Sumgayit city Executive Power is a local governmental body. In February 18, 2008, Mr. Eldar Azizov was appointed as a Head of Executive Power of Sumgayit city. Sumgayit is the 2nd biggest city of Azerbaijan with its huge economic potential. Petrochemical, pipes, construction materials, food and light industries are main fields of the city economy.
