Solmet-7 was founded in 2006 to provide solutions for mechanisation and welding for mass-produced parts in the automotive industry. Later on, thanks to the team’s extensive experience, a market study was carried out and the company management decided to expand the business portfolio to include a department to design (mechanical engineering) manufacture, assemble and commission machinery (turnkey) and tools for industry. Made up of a team of experienced professionals, Solmet-7, S.L. Produces tailor-made solutions for assembly processes, including flexible manufacturing systems for pallets and stand alone stations, assembly and production lines that use robotic vision systems, rotary machinery for welding stations (MIG-MAG, resistance, etc.) and handling (pick and place, elevators, conveyors, etc.). We also offer more specific and complex products such as “Test Machinery”, which ensures that the final product sent to the client meets the technical requirements in terms of size and resistance, etc., and includes: • Leak detection equipment. • Fatigue testing equipment. • Dimensional inspection equipment. Over the last 10 years we formed a network of partners who worked with us and advised us on mechanical, computer and/or programming projects, in order to offer the best possible solution for our clients’ needs. These tasks are centralised through our Engineering department, which coordinates, manages and controls all the phases of each project to ensure that they meet the client’s specifications. We have a Production Plant located in the Santa Anna industrial area in Santpedor (Barcelona), which has 200 m2 of engineering offices and an assembly plant of 1000 m2 with two crane bridges to help assemble the machinery.
