RIE Information

RIE works in favor of the urban companion fauna that is in a vulnerable situation in the city, especially those animals in a condition of abandonment. RIE promotes awareness and education on good pet ownership as the basis for changing social models that will improve the living conditions of dogs and cats. In addition, RIE maintains and recovers rescued dogs in poor condition in a home, where they are given a second chance at life in order to give them up for adoption: We are looking for people or families who wish to give our voiceless siblings a temporary or permanent home. , each one of them is a miracle of life. However, the most important actions of RIE in the last 2 years have been preventive through the population control of dogs and cats using the ARES (Trap-Register-Sterilize-Release) methodology, proven successfully as an ethical mechanism for prevent the indiscriminate reproduction of these animals (which brings a series of associated problems) and carried out by RIE with the support of other organizations and people in various neighborhoods in the south of Quito.
