The Moth is a global storytelling nonprofit with the mission to inspire people to listen and share openly, think and feel deeply, and expand their understanding of one another through personal storytelling.
Since 1997, The Moth has presented more than 65,000 true stories—told live and without notes—in 11 countries, across 4 continents. Today, The Moth produces 600+ live shows annually, as well as the Peabody Award-winning The Moth Radio Hour, and the popular The Moth Podcast.
Through workshops for students, educators, adults, advocates, and professionals, The Moth guides thousands of new storytellers each year in finding and sharing their own voices.
The Paris Review is a literary quarterly founded in 1953 by Harold L. Humes, Peter Matthiessen, and George Plimpton. Plimpton edited the Review from its founding until his death in 2003. In its first five years, The Paris Review published works by Jack Kerouac, Philip Larkin, V.âS. Naipaul, Philip Roth, Adrienne Rich, Italo Calvino, Samuel Beckett, Nadine Gordimer, Jean Genet, and Robert Bly. It has since become one of the world's leading outlets for emerging and established writers.
The Review's highly regarded "Writers at Work" series includes interviews with Ernest Hemingway, Truman Capote, Joan Didion, T. S. Eliot, Ralph Ellison, William Faulkner, Elizabeth Bishop and Vladimir Nabokov, and this series has been called "one of the single most persistent acts of cultural conservation in the history of the world."
Granta Publications is the home of Granta Magazine, Granta Books and Portobello Books. The magazine was originally founded by students at the university of Cambridge in 1889. It was relaunched in 1979, followed ten years later by Granta Books. In 2005, the imprint Portobello Books was added to focus on translation and nonfiction. Granta Publications is based in London, United Kingdom.
