Oregon Network of Child Abuse Intervention Centers Information

ONCAIC is a nonprofit, statewide organization providing support, training, and advocacy on the behalf of 24 Child Abuse Intervention Centers (CAICs) in Oregon since 1995. These Centers provide specialized services to children referred for concerns of abuse. Forensic Interviews provided by each Center give children and teens a voice to speak about their experiences in an environment that minimizes further trauma. The Centers also aid in the investigation, intervention, and prosecution of child abuse cases. Centers also give families the resources they need to heal and prevent new instances of abuse. Children and teens in some communities access healing trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy through their Centers. Additionally, Centers provide informational classes to community members on how they can play a role in preventing childhood sexual abuse called "Stewards of Children."​ We are an Accredited Chapter of the National Children's Alliance.
