Grassroots Grantmakers Information

Grassroots Grantmakers is a network of funders and others who are working to strengthen and help resource the work of everyday people and the groups that they form for mutual aid and collective action. The participants in our network include funders (place-based and otherwise), organizations that resource citizen-led groups, and citizen-led groups themselves. Our work is geared to increase community vibrancy and resilience through work that invites, supports and appropriately resources the groups that everyday people form to move ideas into action in their home communities. We do this by spotting and sharing innovative resourcing approaches, creating easy on-ramps funders and other resourcing organizations who want to resource citizen groups, and contributing to network building among people and groups that have this interest. We host place-based learning convenings, webinars, and learning circles, share information via our website, social-network and one-on-one consultations, and participate in special partnerships for learning and action with like-minded organizations and networks.
