EU Green Week 2026: Investing in a nature-positive economy This year’s Green Week will put the spotlight on the business case for nature, demonstrating that a nature-positive economy is essential for Europe’s prosperity, resilience, and competitiveness. Organised by DG Environment, the conference will explore how nature can be a driver for EU citizens’ prosperity and quality of life, provide inspiration and put nature in its due place on the political agenda. Together with policymakers, investors, urban planners, businesses, naturalists, farmers and civil society, we will explore how nature-positive models work in practice, focusing on profitable sustainable farming, soil-health innovations, greening cities, and exciting new opportunities to reverse rural flight. This year’s event will offer a dynamic programme combining panel discussions, inspiration, movie night, and a dedicated startup-investor matchmaking event. EU Green Week is the key event in the EU environment policy calendar. This annual opportunity to debate and discuss European environmental policy attracts policymakers, leading environmentalists, stakeholders and other interested parties from across Europe and the globe. Down the years, EU Green Week delivered on its objectives, improving the understanding of EU environmental policies, feeding into debates about their development, and improving the overall image of the EU among citizens and stakeholders around Europe. To mobilise involvement and contribution from all sectors, in addition to the high level conference in Brussels organised by the European Commission's Directorate-General for Environment, a series of events organised by partner organisations from across Europe will feature officially in the Week's programme.
