British Poultry Council Information

The British Poultry Council is the trade association for the poultry meat sector. We represent companies involved in breeding, hatching, growing, and slaughtering of poultry (chickens, turkeys, ducks, and geese) for the UK and export markets. Our membership covers over 90% of the poultry meat produced in the UK. The BPC is a voluntary trade association funded by the sector and we lobby on behalf of our members in the political and policy fields. We also provide technical expertise and advice on legislation, and we span issues across the entire production chain from agriculture to food.
