Beetle Information

The idea grew out of Craig Demmon's work as an architect and artist, his passion for design, and his desire to create something positive out of Colorado's devastating pine beetle infestation. Inspired by the wood's unique blue color and beautiful grain patterns and realizing its abundance, he designed Beetle Builds pieces with clean, sculptural lines that highlight the unique features of this type of wood. His furniture designs are art for living. We hope that our unique approach to home furnishings speaks to those who also appreciate the art of combining sophisticated design with organic beauty. All of our wood is locally sourced from the Rocky Mountains. Because the wood is harvested from standing dead timber none of the wood requires kiln drying. We hand pick all wood for unique color and character. The Collection
